Mini Business System
Using your Mini Business System
You can set one, or both of your TwinTalks in the Mini Business System program.
A TwinTalk set in the Mini Business System program will work, at first, just like a TwinTalk set up in its standard program. That is, it will ring in response to your old number, or your new number, depending on the setting of the switch. However in the Mini Business System program, if a call is not answered and the ringing on your line continues for longer than about ten seconds, the TwinTalk will start to ring regardless of the switch setting. This will give you a chance to pick up an unanswered call at any extension.
If you set both of your TwinTalks in the Mini Business System program then calls which are not answered at the first extension within ten seconds, can be answered at the other extension and similarly calls to the other extension, which are not answered, can be picked up at the first extension when it starts to ring.
You might choose to set just one of your TwinTalks in the Mini Business System program. In this case this TwinTalk will be able to answer calls for its own telephone number immediately and calls for the other telephone number after ten seconds, if they have not been answered at the other extension. The other extension will only be able to answer calls dialed to its own number.
This might be a good setting if you have set your TwinTalks to provide a line for your child or teenager. If you set the Mini Business System program on the TwinTalk in your teenager's bedroom they will receive calls to their number and also calls to your number which you are not able to answer. If you are very lucky they might even take a message for you.
If you have a telephone answer machine connected to your TwinTalk and you set the Mini Business System program on this TwinTalk, the answer machine will be able to take messages for both old and new numbers.
