2: Answer Machine or Fax
When you are
setting up your answer machine or your fax machine to automatically answer
your calls you need to bear in mind the following.
- If you have
set the TwinTalk connected to your answer machine, or fax, to answer your
new telephone number, then six seconds of ringing will have elapsed before
TwinTalk rings your answer machine or fax. You may want to bear this in
mind when setting the answer delay.
- If you have
set the TwinTalk connected to your answer machine, or fax, to answer your
existing number then three seconds will have elapsed before TwinTalk rings
your answer machine or fax. You may want to bear this in mind when setting
the answer delay.
- If you have
an Answer Machine on your line you might want to set it up to answer calls
to both your old and new telephone numbers and to take messages for both
extensions. To do this we recommend you set TwinTalk's
Mini Business System program.
